This is actually a good thing. Because lots people store things like passwords, contacts, and pictures. All things that someone who needs to plan a funeral may need.
I know the first reaction is “what if they see my web history” but even that’s important for access, especially for queer people. It’s been practice that when queer people with non-accepting die that their queer friends go to their apartment and pick what they want to keep and “straighten” the apartment, essentially removing all the signs that this person was queer. In the modern era that includes their phone.
