This is actually a good thing. Because lots people store things like passwords, contacts, and pictures. All things that someone who needs to plan a funeral may need.

I know the first reaction is “what if they see my web history” but even that’s important for access, especially for queer people. It’s been practice that when queer people with non-accepting die that their queer friends go to their apartment and pick what they want to keep and “straighten” the apartment, essentially removing all the signs that this person was queer. In the modern era that includes their phone.

idk i just think it’s bad to force people to see slurs they don’t want to see or to bully them for not liking being called slurs or to come after people who are trying to protect others from seeing/being called slurs they don’t want to be called. maybe it’s just me but behaving exactly like the bigots you’re reclaiming these slurs from doesn’t seem like the move

literally this is one of the most important parts of reclamation i am sooo tired of ppl acting like they can call ppl slurs just bc they reclaimed them i see ppl treating them as cute words too. like my classmate bragging abt how he threatened to call his manager a faggot it feels like theyre taking our oppression for like. granted? isnt the word im looking for but its a similar word. TOO LIGHTLY. thats the word. not granted when you circle around to using a slur like a bigot youre no longer using it like a reclaimed thing imo. youre just using it to be a bully hope this makes sense i just woke up on 4 less hrs of sleep than normal
